Purchase Tickets.

Gadsby’s Tavern Museum is excited to welcome back its popular Tavern Games Night on Friday, January 23, at 7 p.m. Kick off the year of the 250th with a lively evening inspired by 1976—the nation’s last big birthday. Part of the museum’s quarterly Game Night series, the program features traditional tavern games, a brief themed presentation, and pub-style trivia beginning around 7:30 p.m., including the crowd-favorite Jeopardy game.

Tavern Games Night

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, guests will look back at how Alexandria and the nation celebrated the Bicentennial. Admission is just $10 and includes games, trivia, and the presentation. A cash bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening.

The event takes place in the historic second-floor ballroom of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, located at 134 N. Royal Street. Please note that, due to the building’s historic nature, there is no elevator and the space is accessible only by stairs.

Tickets are available now and can be purchased online in the Alexandria Shop. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a night of fun, history, and community at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum!

About Gadsby’s Tavern Museum

As America began as a nation during the late 18th century and emerged in the 19th century, Gadsby’s Tavern was the center of social and political life in Alexandria as well as the new Federal City of Washington. The tavern served as the premier gathering place for residents – including George Washington – and visitors to eat, drink, learn, and influence history.  Tavern keepers John Wise and John Gadsby hosted balls, performances, and meetings, and their accommodations were known as the best by travelers near and far. Gadsby’s Tavern Museum is located at 134 North Royal Street in the heart of Old Town Alexandria and is owned and operated by the City of Alexandria.
