Come experience the fun and exciting recreational programming Alexandria has to offer at the City of Alexandria’s REC FEST: an explosion of fun for all ages!

This free, family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Patrick Henry Recreation Center (4653 Taney Ave.). Attendees of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities showcasing the City’s fitness, sports, enrichment, arts, nature, out-of-school time, and summer camp programs. Don’t miss live demos and performances, the chance to meet instructors and staff, and the opportunity to register for programs and camps on-site!

Ongoing Activities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.:
Arts & Crafts for all ages
Bounce House #1 for ages 2-5
Bounce House #2 for ages 6-10
Face Painting for all ages
Lawn Games Alley for all ages
Eagle Boot Camp Training for 12 & up
GaGa Ball for all ages
Sensory Mobile by Nannie J Lee Recreation Center for all ages

Main Stage: 15-Min Demo & Performances
10 a.m.: Yoga Demo for all ages
10:30 a.m.: Jazzercise Demo by Cameron Hall for 18 & up
11 a.m.: Group Fitness by Rodney Bates for 18 & up
11:30 a.m.: Cheer Team Performance by Charles Houston
12 p.m.: Cheer Team Performance by Patrick Henry
1 p.m.: Line Dance Demo by Susan Prats for all ages
1:30 p.m.: Musical Performance by Mark Evans

Interactive Games
10 a.m.: Bingo for all ages
10:30 a.m.: Track & Field Events for ages 6-12
11 a.m.: Dodgeball for ages 6-12
11:30 a.m.: Kickball for all ages
12 p.m.: Giant Volleyball for all ages
12:30 p.m.: Knockout for 12 & up
