CYCP Implementation
Implementation of the Children & Youth Community Plan (CYCP)
Achieving the goals and strategies in the Children and Youth Community Plan (CYCP) involves all of our efforts. This Plan ties together many of the strategic plans set forth by Alexandria’s youth-serving community. The figure below illustrates which city-wide plans are woven throughout the CYCP.
Many of the Plan's strategies are connected to an existing strategic plan, such as the Alexandria City Public Schools' Strategic Plan 2025, the Community Health Improvement Plan 2025, and the Environmental Action Plan 2040. Each of these plans have a designated individual who delivers reports on the progress of their respective initiatives to the CYCP Coordinator. You can find the progress of these strategies on the CYCP Report Card page.
To learn more about the City’s youth and family services, the strategic plans that are tied to the CYCP, and how you can contribute to these efforts, please contact Chelsea Eickert at Chelsea.Eickert@AlexandriaVA.Gov.
