No matter the occasion, the City of Alexandria has a venue to suit your needs. Our parks and facilities are great for parties, receptions, weddings, meetings, and more. Indoor facilities are available for rental year-round and picnic areas are available for rental April-October, beginning March 1.

The City’s Naming Policy sets a consistent process for naming or renaming parks and facilities, with opportunities for community input. Residents may submit recommendations with supporting justification and a letter of community support.

RPCA commissions and committees compose a formal system through which citizens can advise City Council on issues affecting the City. All meetings open to the public. Position vacancies are advertised in the local newspapers and through civic associations.
