Congratulations to Deputy Ahmed and Deputy Ugarriza on their graduation from the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy! Both successfully completed eight weeks of intensive Jail Officer Basic Training.

Sheriff Sean Casey and members of his command and training staff attended the graduation of Jail Basic Class 216 in Fredericksburg on December 18.

The academy training included defensive tactics, firearms, legal, communication, and topics specific to jail operations and security, such as control of contraband, inmate classification, and transporting inmates. Deputy Ahmed and Deputy Ugarriza will now continue in field training at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.
