Several inmates in green jumpsuits speaking with exhibitors at tables in a gym

The William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center proudly supported Second Chance Month by hosting our annual Reentry Resource Fair on April 15. This vital initiative, organized by our dedicated Inmate Services team, connected more than 130 residents with opportunities and resources that can facilitate their successful reintegration into the community.

Recognizing the importance of reentry planning, the fair brought together 28 community partners offering valuable services and support in key areas such as health, education, job training, employment assistance, and peer support networks. Inmates actively engaged with exhibitors, gathering information and learning more about programs and opportunities that can pave the way for a positive and productive future.

This event underscores Sheriff Sean Casey’s commitment to fostering successful reentry and reducing recidivism by equipping individuals with the tools and connections they need to thrive upon their return. The Alexandria Sheriff’s Office supports initiatives that empower returning citizens to build brighter futures and contribute positively to our community.
