Five inmates in green jumpsuits speaking with four individuals from two diferent organizations and looking at information at exhibition tables

Ninety-eight residents at the William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center attended the Reentry Resource Fair on April 16 to explore services and programs that can help them when they return to the community. The Inmate Services team held the event during Second Chance Month, which raises awareness of the challenges individuals encounter when they return to the community after being incarcerated.

Twenty-seven exhibitors offering services and resources in health, education, training, employment, and peer support participated in the event. Residents were able to visit various information tables, pick up materials, and speak with providers about programs and opportunities that can benefit them in their reentry.

Sheriff Sean Casey and the Inmate Services team would like to thank the following organizations for participating:

Alexandria Health Department
Molina Healthcare
Alexandria Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
