Four Deputies Graduate from Deputy School at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy
Four deputy sheriffs graduated from the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy on June 2. Sheriff Sean Casey and members of his command and training staff attended Session 152’s graduation from Deputy School at a ceremony in Ashburn.
Deputy Daniels, Deputy Earman, Deputy Nacro, Deputy Traylor and their classmates from the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office and Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office successfully completed 10 weeks of basic training. Deputy School focuses on jail operations and court security and includes emergency vehicle operations, firearms training, physical fitness and wellness, control tactics, active bystandership, basic legal training, inmate supervision, cell and person searches, first aid, and serving diverse communities.
During the ceremony, Deputy Daniels, Deputy Earman and Deputy Traylor were part of the honor guard that presented the colors, and Deputy Traylor was also recognized for having the third highest score in firearms qualifications.
The graduates will complete field training at the Sheriff’s Office before starting their regular assignments at the Adult Detention Center.
