Eighty-two residents of the William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center attended the Reentry Resource Fair on April 20 to learn about services and programs that can help them when they return to the community. The Inmate Services team held the event during Second Chance Month, which helps raise awareness of the challenges individuals encounter when they re-enter society after being incarcerated.

More than 20 exhibitors participated in the event, the first time it has been held in person since the pandemic began three years ago. Residents were able to stop at tables, pick up information, and speak with providers who offer a variety of services and opportunities, including health, education, training, employment, and peer support, that can benefit them in their reentry.
