Five Deputies Graduate from Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy
Sheriff Sean Casey is proud to announce the graduation of five recruit deputies from the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy. As members of Jail Officer Basic Class 221, Deputy Beasley, Deputy Bird, Deputy Carrillo, Deputy Delacruz, and Deputy Nare completed an intensive eight-week training program, graduating on March 18.
During the ceremony, Deputy Beasley delivered the official class address. She expressed gratitude to the academy leadership, staff, and participating agencies for their guidance. Deputy Beasley also commended her fellow graduates for their individual achievements and their collective success as a team.
The comprehensive curriculum included instruction in defensive tactics, firearms, legal standards, and communication, alongside specialized jail operations such as contraband control, inmate classification, and transport. These new deputies will now transition to the Adult Detention Center to continue their field training.
