STI Services, Family Planning, and Reproductive Care
Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Fourth Floor
Insurance not required. Services at a sliding fee scale. You do not have to live in the City of Alexandria. Service include:
- Birth control
- Pregnancy testing
- Emergency Contraceptive (a.k.a., Plan B or "Morning After" Pill)
- Family planning education and counseling
- Breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings
- STI testing and treatment
- DoxyPEP to prevent STI infection within 3 days of unprotected sex (for transgender women and men who have sex with men only)
AHD welcomes people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

Immunizations/Vaccines
Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Fourth Floor. Immunizations also available at Teen Wellness Center clinics.
Insurance not required. Services at a sliding fee scale. You do not have to live in the City of Alexandria. Service include:
- Routine immunizations for infants, children, teens, and adults.
- Mpox vaccines
- COVID and flu vaccines for uninsured people only

BabyCare Visiting Nurse Program for Pregnant People and Babies Under 2
Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Third Floor.
BabyCare is an at-home, Medicaid-approved program to foster safe and healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. To be eligible, clients must live in the City of Alexandria, be eligible for Medicaid, and have specific social risks and medical risks factors.

Postpartum Care for Health After Giving Birth
Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Fourth Floor
Insurance not required. Services at a sliding fee scale. You do not have to live in the City of Alexandria. Services include
- Check-ups after birth
- Breastfeeding support
- Mental health screening
- Nutrition and baby care tips
- Birth control and family planning
- Referrals to OB/GYNs and other doctors
Free Emergency Contraceptive (aka Plan B)
Main Office on the 4th floor at 4850 Mark Center Drive.
Available while supplies last. Walk-ins welcome. You do not have to live in the City of Alexandria.
A nurse will give you the package and explain how Plan B can be used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex.
Newcomer Health Services - For People with Refugee or Humanitarian Status
Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Fourth Floor
Services for newly arrived people including:
- Health and tuberculosis screenings
- Physicals
- Referrals to other health, mental health, and community services in Alexandria
Services available by appointment only.
Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic
Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Fourth Floor
Evaluation, treatment, and prevention treatment services for tuberculosis (TB).
- Screening and testing clinics for adults 19 years and older
- Immunization Clinic provides TB tests for children

ALX Breathes for Asthma/COPD
Free, one-on-one program for eligible Alexandria residents with asthma or COPD. To be eligible, you must:
- Live in the City of Alexandria
- Make less than 80% of the area median income
- Be diagnosed with asthma or COPD by a health care provider
- Agree to follow guidelines for home visit safety
Experts work with participants to identify causes of breathing issues and co-create a plan to improve breathing. In ALX Breathes, you can receive free education, supplies, and connections to help you breathe easier to breathe at home.
Breastfeeding Education

The following are available free for pick up at AHD's Main Office: Del Pepper Community Resource Center - 4850 Mark Center Drive, Fourth Floor. No appointment required.
- Naloxone (a.k.a. Narcan)
- Fentanyl Test Strips
- Condoms (8 types if external condoms + internal condoms)
- Lubricant
- Gun trigger locks
- Medication lock boxes
- Emergency Contraceptive (a.k.a. "Plan B", "Morning After" Pill)
Teen Wellness
3330 King Street at Alexandria City High School.
Accessible and confidential* health services to any teen (12-19 years old) living in the City of Alexandria.

- Insurance cards. If you do not have health insurance, you may be charged some fees based on a sliding fee scale.
