It's not too late! Make your gift to Historic Alexandria for Spring2ACTion
Friends,
If you are still reading email for today, there is still time to support the Historic Alexandria Museums through #Spring2ACTion, Alexandria’s annual 24-hour day of giving where non-profits compete to win additional funds to support their important projects.
Your donation before 11:59 p.m. tonight to the Historic Alexandria Museums is appreciated!
We are raising funds for an exciting upcoming exhibition, Moss Kendrix - Reframing the Black Image at the Alexandria Black History Museum. This exhibit will feature the life and work of Moss H. Kendrix, the father of Black Advertising. Our exhibition team will highlight how Kendrix transformed the public relations industry and consumerism in the 1950s by showcasing Black families, athletes, musicians, and celebrities in ads for Coca-Cola and other popular household products.
With the support of a 2021 Institute for Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS) grant, archival materials have been digitized and made available for exhibition, many for the first time.
Thank you for your gift tonight to support the Historic Alexandria Museums in #Spring2ACTion.
