The Untold Stories: “Bloodlines of the Slave Trade” Film Screening on Feb. 25th!

In honor of Black History Month, the Alexandria Film Festival presents "Bloodlines of the Slave Trade," a riveting documentary centered on the lives of two individuals linked by genetics to notorious 1830s slave traders in Alexandria. Rodney, a Black individual, and Susanna, a white individual, share vastly different lived experiences as their slave-trading ancestors continue to shape their destinies.
Join us on February 25th at The Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum (201 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA) for a unique cinematic experience. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the film starting promptly at 6:30 pm.
The 73-minute documentary will be followed by a moderated Q&A session featuring Audrey Davis, Director of the City's African American History Division, and film subjects Susanna Grannis and Melanie Pflaum.
