ALL Alexandria Community Town Halls
COMMUNITY TOWN HALL EVENTS
Town hall events are community/Citywide opportunities for City officials and/or the Race & Social Equity Officer to update the community on racial equity efforts throughout the City and engage in open discussions about racial equity.
Shared Voices Virtual Town Hall Series
Shared Voices, an emergent collaboration of community members, government and nonprofit organizations, is sponsoring this series of virtual town hall meetings to promote sharing and understanding about how systemic racism impacts Alexandria. The series is part of Alexandria’s commitment to acknowledging and dismantling the systematic and institutional racism that pervades all institutions, resulting in unequal outcomes for people of color in areas such as education, health, employment, transportation, housing, environment, income, wealth and the arts.
